Duct tape picture frame.

I bought a new shelf the other day. They come in these neat IKEA-packages that when all is drilled into a wall covers my floor in plastic, paper instructions and one long, rectangular cardboard plate.

Now, I absolutely hate throwing things away, thinking that I someday will find use for it. But then there are moments like this one, where I know right away what I want to make and just have to do it now now Now!
So what if I don't have any spray paint or watercolors? I can use duct tape.
What does it matter if I can't find my glue anywhere? I can use duct tape.
So I did. with these two things I created the picture frame that's now up on my wall for everyone to see, holding four of my favourite memories caught on camera.

If you are like me, who sometimes find themselves feeling alone in a crowd, you will understand how much these pictures mean to me. On a bad day, all I have to do is look up and I will be reminded that I am Not alone. I have friends whom I love and who loves me back, unconditionally.
True friends are difficult to find, but when you do... It's worth all the time in the world.

Don't run away.

  1. Awesome idea. Duct tape rules. That inspires me to make something like that but I suck at making things!

  2. It looks great! What wonderful, happy memories! :-)

  3. Den var fan snygg :D Vill nästan också ha en, tänkte inte ens på att den var av "tejp".

  4. "True friends are difficult to find, but when you do... It's worth all the time in the world.

    Don't run away."
Those words meant the world to me today...thank you.

    1. I'm glad I could help you feel better today, whoever you are. <3

  5. wow...i really appreciate what you said about friends. it's really true. I wish i saw that a couple of years ago, then i wouldn't have taken my friends for granted and wouldn't have lost them. I really miss them a lot. I love you idea for the picture frame, do you mind giving me tips on how you did it?

  6. i really appreciate what you said about friends. I wish i read that sooner. Anyway, i just wanted to know if you could give me tips on how you made your picture frame and how i'd be able to put my pictures up. I love photography and have tons i wanna highlight and frames can be pretty expensive. Any advice would be very much welcomed. take care.

    1. Hi! Losing friends are horrible, but think about it as another crossroads. It has happened, now take the chance to start over and learn from your mistakes. If those people were not there forever, it wasn't meant to be.

I created this one simply by using duct tape and carboard. Both things are very cheap and easy to get a hold of. Duct tape can also be found in all colors of the rainbow, so it really is just up to you what you want to use. I chose black since all my photos are black and white, and I thought it looked cleaner that way.
Feel free to email me at if you ever feel like talking to someone. Sometimes strangers are the best wall to bounce your thoughts against.
      Good luck, hun. :)

Oooh, Hi! I love comments, they go awesome with the background, don't you think? ;)
