Nautical flags

Me and Mr. Kilt celebrated our 3 year anniversary on the 30th of september. Both suffering from stubborn colds; runny nose, sore throats, unpleasant coughing - You know how it is.
Somehow, despite all this, we managed to have a perfect day together.

I had great troubles figuring out what to get Mr. Kilt  for said anniversary, but one day I stumbled into someone's blog and found the perfect thing to make for him.
Mr. Kilt has a sailor family and he loves everything that has to do with boats or the sea. (See, this is where he drew the short straw with me. I get sea sick just looking at a boat).
I googled a picture of all the nautical flags and started sewing. This was the result:

May I introduce:  Mr. Kilt's name written in nautical flags (Yes, this means you can figure out his name with a simple google search). He absolutely loved it and it quickly ended up on the wall above his desk.

I got a gift too, of course. An absolutely perfect gift which made me squeal, yes actually SQUEAL (I'm such a girl) of joy. He definitely reached out to my inner nerd and gave me my very own subject Delta (It's okey if you have no idea what I'm talking about, but IF you were a gamer and happened to play Bioshock 2, you should be squealing just like me about now).
At first I wasn't planning to post a picture, but it's just too awesome to leave out, so ignore my bad-skin-day and look at the most awesome gift ever:

I'm going to try and make my own doll soon, baseballs aren't the easiest thing to get a hold of here in Norway, but thankfully Mr. Kilt used to live in the states and have some lying around, haha.

Don't run with corkscrews.
