So... A lot of things have happened.
I became a mommy to two new ratsies, Hannelore and Abigail, a few days ago. They keep me pretty busy at the moment. I forgot how frustrating it can be to house-train rats, but hey, I love them so it's worth it.
My best friend gave birth to a daughter as well, an adorable Leah Jane who just makes your heart melt.
Oh and I've made some stuff too, but keep forgetting to take pictures of it, so this is me trying to make up for it.
Ergo: The Diaper Bag:
...And yes, that is me in my super hot pajama-pants. I'm sick on new years eve, so I'm perfectly allowed to look like a scarecrow.
Have i told you I ordered new tags for my "kid" related creations? ThatDamnCat is also ThatDamnKitten now, heh.
Anyways, the mother is a big fan of pins and stuff, so I left the flap blank for her to decorate however she wants. Yes, I'm an awesome friend.
So these are the side pockets, I know, I´m crazy inventive. One simple slide for whatever and one with a flap to close with, some zig-zagged fabric for extra room and velcro. Isn't velcro just the best? I love velcro.
Back and front. I stole some hooks from an old Oakley laptop-bag that Mr. Kilt has had since the dawn of time and no longer use. Totally hardcore re-use, with other words.
In the back I made a zipper pocket, just because I could, and you can never have too many pockets. The zipper doesn't look as blue as in the picture, though. And no, the flap isn't another color either, I just have an evil camera that's out to get me.
The inside fabric is actually water-proof, which gives it a bit of a shine.
The soon-to-be owner specifically wanted a bag in black and hot pink, so I didn't have much to say about it, but I'm pretty damn happy with how it turned out.
Oh yeah, I'm totally writing this while having a rat on top of my head.
Happy new years people, I hope you get a great start on 2011. Me and Mr Kilt will follow our tradition of calling his old friends in the states, about 8 hours before their new year sets in.
Don't run with scissors.
